Florida State had beaten fierce in-state rival Miami seven consecutive times and was just six seconds away from extending the streak to eight.
Playing in Tallahassee, the Seminoles had scored with 1:24 remaining in the game to take a 20-17 lead. The Hurricanes found themselves 75 yards from the end zone. Only a dramatic drive could move Miami into field goal position to force overtime … or into the end zone for the victory.
That’s exactly what happened.
Junior quarterback Malik Rosier hit fellow junior wide receiver Darrell Langham with a 23-yard touchdown pass with only a half-dozen ticks remaining on the clock to defeat FSU, 24-20. The game winner, Langham’s only reception of the day, is the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”
Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
