PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB TaQuon Marshall rushed for 107 yards against Virginia and moved into 14th place on the school’s all-time rushing list. Marshall has 2,078 yards rushing in his career, most of them coming the last two seasons.

–OLB Jalen Johnson matched his career-high with nine tackles for the second straight week. The senior also had his first career sack.

–PK Wesley Wells kicked four field goals in four tries, including a 40-yarder that proved to be the game-winner in overtime. Wells is 8-for-8 on field goals and 43-for-43 on extra points since winning the job midway in the season. Wells was named ACC Specialist of the Week.

–DB Juanyeh Thomas had a 77-yard return of a free kick for a touchdown in the first quarter. Thomas became only the second true freshman in Tech history to return a kickoff for a touchdown.

SERIES HISTORY: Georgia leads Georgia Tech 66-45-1. The Bulldogs won 38-7 in 2017. Georgia Tech has won the last two meetings in Athens, including a 28-27 nail-biter in 2016.
