Young was reportedly less than forthcoming during an athletic department investigation conducted by the compliance department. According to the Miami Herald, Young’s use of a luxury vehicle is the subject of the investigation.

The potential NCAA investigation leaves Young’s future with the program in doubt.

Junior defensive end Al Quadin Muhammad also is being investigated for a possible NCAA violation involving a vehicle.

The Hurricanes are on NCAA probation until October for past violations.

Young had 57 tackles last season. Muhammad is the team’s top pass rusher and had five sacks in 2015.
