PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Ryan Willis, a Kansas transfer who took over as starter for an injured Josh Jackson in late September, completed 15-of-22 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns last week against Georgia Tech. He also rushed for a touchdown for the second consecutive game. He has a 10-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio this season.

–WR Damon Hazelton, a transfer from Ball State, leads the team with six touchdown catches, including a 41-yard score against Georgia Tech. He is fourth in the ACC with 85.1 receiving yards per game and has three 100-yard games.

–LB Khalil Ladler will miss the first half of the Boston College game after being ejected for targeting in the second half against Georgia Tech. He is second on the team with 49 tackles and will be a welcome addition after halftime to try and slow down Boston College’s run game.

–RB Steven Peoples is the Hokies’ leading rusher with 458 yards and five touchdowns on 84 carries. Seven of his 11 catches have gone for a first down.

SERIES HISTORY: Virginia Tech leads Boston College 18-8. The Hokies won 23-10 last season.
