Former Michigan quarterback Shane Morris will finish his career with Central Michigan.

Morris, who said earlier this month that he would transfer as a graduate, announced Saturday his decision to play for the Chippewas.

The 6-foot-3, 213-pounder was the Wolverines’ third-string quarterback last season, behind starter Wilton Speight and John O’Korn. Speight and O’Korn both will return for 2017.

Morris went 47 of 92 for 434 yards and five interceptions during his career at Michigan. He made two starts for the Wolverines, both losses.

He replaced an injured Devin Gardner against Kansas State in the 2013 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. His other start was against Minnesota in 2014, a loss that sparked a concussion controversy after the Wolverines let Morris to return to the game after he was hit on the head.
