Malik Noshi, a senior offensive lineman at Northern Arizona, was found dead at his home in Flagstaff, Ariz., the university announced.

Cause of death has not been revealed.

Noshi played in 29 games over three seasons for the Lumberjacks and was an honorable mention selection to the Big Sky All-Conference team in 2018.

“The thoughts and prayers of the entire NAU Athletic Department family go out to Malik’s family, friends, teammates and coaches during this time of great sadness. Coaches and support staff have been reaching out to our football family to ensure our student-athletes have the support they need,” said Mike Marlow, vice president for intercollegiate athletics, in a statement issued through the university.

Noshi, a 6-foot-2, 310-pound guard, played at Arbor View High School in Las Vegas before joining the Northern Arizona program in 2015, redshirting that season.

Sam Toomer, the offensive line coach at Arbor View, remembered Noshi on Twitter.

“My heart is hurting. We lost a wonderful person in Malik Noshi today. One of the best lineman ever at Arbor View. Everyone is of worth. Everyone hurts. Please talk to someone.”
