Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer will be back in the lineup for Saturday’s matchup against visiting Oklahoma State.

Brewer was cleared to play after passing the concussion protocol on Friday, the Waco Tribune-Herald reported.

Oklahoma State is 5-3 overall while Baylor is 4-4. Both teams are 2-3 in Big 12 Conference play.

Brewer was injured in a 58-14 loss at No. 13 West Virginia on Oct. 25. He had his worst game of the season in the blowout by the Mountaineers, completing 1 of 8 passes for 22 yards and throwing three interceptions before he exited with the injury.

For the season, Brewer has thrown for 1,820 yards with 10 touchdowns and six picks for the Bears, who will be trying to halt a two-game slide. He has been sacked 21 times, including 16 in the past four games.

Brewer has his best game of the season in a 66-33 loss at Oklahoma on Sept. 29, throwing for 400 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-1, 202-pound Brewer appeared in eight games. He completed 68.4 percent of his passes and had 11 touchowns versus four interceptions.

Brewer made his first collegiate appearance in a lopsided loss at Oklahoma State a year ago. He was 3 of 7 for 41 yards with one intereception and one sack.
