Kansas wide receiver Chase Harrell was arrested early Sunday morning in Lawrence, Kan., on suspicion of driving under the influence, records from the Douglas County Sherriff’s Department show.

Harrell is scheduled to appear in court on March 28.

Harrell was third on the team last season with 25 catches for 221 yards and three touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore. He has 30 career receptions and five scores.

Coach David Beaty said in a statement to The Topeka Capital-Journal that he was aware of the arrest. “We are currently still collecting all of the details,” he said. “When that process is completed we will have further comment.”
