GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Oklahoma’s offensive line vs. Oklahoma State’s front seven. The Sooners have been among the nation’s best offensive lines over the past few years and this season isn’t much different, with the group led by tackles Bobby Evans and Cody Ford giving Oklahoma one of the best rushing attacks in the country and keeping quarterback Kyler Murray from facing too much pressure. The Cowboys, though, have been the nation’s best team in terms of sacking the quarterback this year, averaging 3.7 per game. The line will have its hands full Saturday against Jordan Brailford and company.

DRAFT SLANT

–OT Cody Ford made the transition from guard to tackle this season and has helped the Sooners maintain their strong performance on the offensive line. Ford’s size, at 6-foot-4 and 338 pounds, coupled with his quickness make him an attractive option for NFL franchises. At the next level, there’s a good chance that Ford moves back into the interior of the line at guard.

ROSTER REPORT:

–RB Marcelias Sutton broke his leg in practice the week before the win over Texas Tech and will miss the remainder of the season. With Sutton’s absence, the Sooners have just three healthy scholarship running backs.

–DB Brendan Radley-Hiles was hurt against Kansas State and missed the Sooners’ win over Texas Tech. His status for Saturday’s game is unclear.

–S Kahlil Haughton missed last week’s game and was replaced in the lineup by Jordan Parker.

–C Jonathan Alvarez, the backup behind Creed Humphrey, has missed the last four games due to an unspecified injury.
