PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Kyler Murray has thrown for 3,038 yards and 32 touchdowns, while rushing for 64 yards per game and seven scores. Murray is better than Oklahoma’s Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks — Baker Mayfield, Sam Bradford, and Jason White — in yards per passing attempt (12.3), interceptions (five), passer rating (212.9), touchdown-to-interception ratio (6.4), rushing yards per game and rushing touchdown.

–LBs Kenneth Murray and Curtis Bolton are both in the top three in tackles in the Big 12. Murray is second with 11.4 per game and Bolton is third (21st nationally) with 10.0 per game. Murray has 95 tackles (13.6 per game) over the last seven games.

–WR Marquise Brown has gotten closer to 100 percent over the last two weeks. Even with his recent struggles — he hadn’t scored in four weeks before his Bedlam touchdown — Brown is 13th nationally in receiving yards per game (95.6) and has 13 catches of at least 50 or more yards since the start of last season.

–K/P Austin Seibert became Oklahoma’s and the Big 12’s all-time leading scorer last week against Oklahoma State. Seibert has 458 points during his career. Seibert has made 157 consecutive extra-point tries and is No. 5 in FBS history among kickers, needing four points to tie for the No. 4 spot and is eight points away from No. 3.

SERIES HISTORY: Oklahoma leads Kansas 75-27-6 including 41-3 last season in Lawrence. The Sooners have won 13 consecutive games in the series. The Jayhawks have not scored more than seven points against Oklahoma since 2013.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “Last year, we didn’t have many guys get banged up. This year, it’s been a little bit different, like they all are. You lose a guy here and there, nobody’s going to feel sorry for you. Especially not here. So you’ve got to keep rolling. I would attribute it to the expectations of that group and then how well we’ve played up front. Those have been the keys. And when we have had an injury or something not go our way, our guys have continued to kind of trek on. They haven’t let it bother them.” — Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma coach, on how the Sooners have handled the rash of injuries on offense.
