TCU leading rusher Sewo Olonilua was arrested this week on two felony drug charges, multiple outlets reported.

He was arrested Tuesday in Huntsville, Texas, and faces charges of possession of controlled substances weighing more than 1 gram and less than 4 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Walker County records obtained by the Dallas Morning News.

Olonilua was booked and released from jail on Wednesday after posting a $4,000 bond, according to the report. No court date has been set, and the charges can result in a penalty of between two and 10 years in prison under Texas laws.

“We are aware of the matter and we are looking into it,” the school said in a statement.

Entering his senior season, Olonilua has rushed for 1,087 yards and 10 touchdowns in 37 games for the Horned Frogs.

He led the team with 635 yards on the ground in 2018, capping off the season with 194 yards and a TD against Cal in the Cheez-It Bowl on Dec. 26. He was named Offensive MVP of TCU’s 10-7 win.
