GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Indiana spreads the ball around via the pass more than any other Big Ten team, with seven different targets making at least 23 (but not more than) 34 receptions. Michigan, which leads FBS in pass defense at 116 yards per game, will need not just its defensive backs but also the linebackers to be sharp in pass coverage.

DRAFT SLANT

–Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com has Michigan DE Rashan Gary going ninth overall to the Indianapolis Colts in his latest 2019 NFL mock draft. He notes Gary is a “top-five talent” that could help the Colts compete for a playoff spot next season.

ROSTER REPORT:

–CB Lavert Hill, who left during the first half of the Rutgers game and did not return, is in concussion protocol and his status for the home finale is uncertain.

–DE Aubrey Solomon missed last week’s game because of illness but is expected to play against Indiana. “It’s cold and flu season, get your flu shots,” Harbaugh said.

–DE Kwity Paye, who had to leave the Rutgers game with an arm injury, “should be good to go” for Indiana. Harbaugh said the sophomore hit his funny bone.

–WR Tarik Black was listed as starter against Rutgers but did not record a catch. The sophomore hasn’t gotten into the stat column in two games since returning from a second broken foot, but Harbaugh said he’s “progressing good” as he becomes more confident on the field.
