PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Shea Patterson was intercepted midway through the third quarter of Michigan’s 31-20 win over Indiana on Saturday, ending a streak of 129 throws without a pick. Against Ohio State he will try to be the first Wolverines passer to not be intercepted by the Buckeyes since Devin Gardner was 32 of 45 for 451 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-41 loss in 2013.

–RB Karan Higdon, with 101 rushing yards against Indiana, has eight 100-yard games this season. That’s the most by a Wolverine since Denard Robinson had nine 100-yard rushing performances in 2010.

–K Jake Moody, who replaced Quinn Nordin on field goals and extra points against Indiana, set a school record with six makes (on six attempts). The true freshman was good from 23, 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33 yards and made his lone PAT, earning him Big Ten co-Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

–DE Rashan Gary was credited with 1.5 sacks against the Hoosiers, his first sacks since Sept. 22 against Nebraska. The junior missed three games due to injury in October.

SERIES HISTORY: Michigan holds a 58-49-6 edge over Ohio State but has lost six consecutive meetings. The Wolverines last won in Columbus in 2000.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “Players do things to motivate themselves. Anger has proven to be a powerful motivator. It just is, I don’t know exactly why. It’s just proven to be.” — Coach Jim Harbaugh on Michigan players’ creation of a “Revenge Tour” for this season.
