Nebraska’s 56-10 blowout loss at No. 19 Michigan drops the Cornhuskers to 0-3 for the first time since 1945 and it also carries a dubious not about first-year coach Scott Frost.

Frost, who was 24-2 as Nebraska’s quarterback in the 1990’s, now has more losses as the head coach after three games than he had during his career as a starter for the Cornhuskers.

Michigan jumped out to a 39-0 first-half lead and never looked back against Nebraska. The Wolverines totaled more points in the first quarter (20) than the Cornhuskers totaled yards in the first half (17).

Michigan rushed for 285 yards — the Wolverines had 190 in the first half — while Nebraska mustered just 39 on the ground the entire game. The Cornhuskers were outgained 493-132 overall.

To add insult to injury, the Cornhuskers were trolled on Twitter by a fast food chain Wendy’s during the course of the blowout loss. The Wendy’s handle tweeted: Might need a Scott Frosty to ice down the beating Nebraska is taking. #FreshFanReaction”

Frost is trying to remain positive in the face of adversity.

“I honestly believe this is going to be the bottom right here,” he said after the loss to the Wolverines.
