GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Trace McSorley and his receivers vs. Michigan State’s secondary. The Spartans passing defense has struggled mightily all season. Despite fielding the nation’s top rushing defense, Michigan State is allowing 305 yards per game through the air. McSorley is one of the more accurate passers in the Big Ten and has a host of weapons around him.

–CB Amani Oruwariye leads Penn State with two interceptions and is sixth on the team with 20 tackles. The senior is rated the 52nd-best NFL prospect for the 2019 draft, according to NFLDraftScout.com.

ROSTER REPORT:

–WR KJ Hamler left the Ohio State game with an apparent head injury after taking a violent helmet-to-helmet hit. Franklin said he anticipates Hamler returning on Saturday.
