Tre Crawford – Noteworthy
The UAB football program held its pro day Thursday morning at the UAB Football Operations Complex, and approximately 50 scouts from all 32 NFL teams attended. There were 23 Blazers who participated in drills – Jamell Garcia-Williams and Anthony Rush did not participate due to injuries – ranging from the 40-yard dash to bench press. Linebacker Tre Crawford’s vertical jump of 42 inches was significantly higher than any linebacker at the NFL Combine and his broad jump would have been good enough for fifth among linebackers. – AL.com

Xavier Ubosi – Noteworthy
The UAB football team had 25 players participate in NFL Pro Day on Thursday morning at the Football Operations Center. All 32 NFL teams were represented today, as well as the Birmingham Iron and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. The Blazers had an impressive showing in front of the scouts, highlighted by a few standout performances. In the vertical jump, linebacker Tre’ Crawford topped the charts with a 42-inch jump, which can be seen by clicking here. On bench, Second Team All-Conference USA lineman Malique Johnson put up 27 reps at 225, which was the most of any Blazers. In the 40-yard dash, Xavier Ubosi unofficially ran the fastest time of the day with a 4.5. Along with all 32 teams represented, head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bruce Arians and General Manager of the LA Rams Les Snead were in attendance, along with former Blazers and current NFL players Joe Webb, Matt McCants and Darious Williams. – UAB Football
