Virginia Tech tight end Kalvin Cline announced on Instagram that he plans to transfer to Texas A&M.

“Couldn’t be more thankful for my time at Virginia Tech,” Cline wrote. “It’s been an amazing 3 years and Hokie Nation has a special place in my heart. It was truly an honor to play for a legend like Frank Beamer and I wish nothing but the best for my teammates this upcoming season.

“But after I graduate in May I will be finishing my last 2 years of eligibility at Texas A&M. Can’t wait to do big things at College Station and see the 12th man light up the stadium! Gig’em Aggies??”

A redshirt junior, the 6-foot-4, 237-pound Cline played in 23 games over two seasons with the Hokies, catching 30 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns. He will be able to join the Aggies program this summer after graduating and be eligible to play in the fall.
