Bowling Green starting quarterback Jarret Doege has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

Doege completed 62.2 percent of his 389 passes last season for 2,660 yards, with 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He started five games as a true freshman in 2017 and all 12 games last season for the Falcons, who went 3-9 and fired coach Mike Jinks.

Doege would have to sit out the 2019 season, unless he received a waiver from the NCAA to be immediately eligible.

New coach Scot Loeffler has junior Grant Loy (12 pass attempts last season) and redshirt freshman Bryce Veasley, a former three-star recruit, as potential options to start.
