PLAYERS TO WATCH

–RB Jermar Jefferson can add to his school freshman-record 1,316 rushing yards against Oregon and also climb the OSU single-season rushing chart. He’s six yards away from sixth place and 125 behind fifth place. “I’m obviously pleased with the year he’s having, and we want him to go out on the right foot and have another one on Friday,” coach Jonathan Smith said.

–When their numbers are combined, QBs Conor Blount and Jake Luton have thrown for 2,495 yards and 15 touchdowns with just four interceptions in 340 attempts. Oregon State needs 292 yards through the air to top 3,000 for the first time since 2014.

–The trio of WRs Trevon Bradford, Timmy Hernandez and Isaiah Hodgins have each eclipsed the 50-catch mark for the season, combining for 154 receptions for 1,895 yards and 12 TDs. The last time the Beavers had three 50-catch players was 2009.

–DB Jalen Moore needs nine more tackles to be OSU’s first player with 100 in a season since Tyrequek Zimmerman had 104 in 2013.

SERIES HISTORY: Oregon State is 47-64-10 all-time against in-state rival Oregon, the 47 wins tied with Washington State for the most it has against any Pac-12 team. The Beavers won the last meeting in Corvallis, in 2016, but overall are 1-9 in the last 10 games against the Ducks.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “I truly would like to see execution at the highest level. I know we’re going to play hard. Because that’s how you win the game, that’s what has been lacking for us.” — Jonathan Smith on what he’s hoping for from his team in the Civil War.
