Former Notre Dame running back Deon McIntosh is joining the Washington State program, according to multiple reports on Sunday.

McIntosh was dismissed from Notre Dame late in the 2017 season before playing at East Mississippi Community College last season. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

McIntosh redshirted at Notre Dame in 2016 before rushing for 368 yards and five touchdowns the following season. But he drew the wrath of coach Brian Kelly for an unspecified violation of team rules during Citrus Bowl preparations and later was kicked off the team.

McIntosh rushed for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns at East Mississippi in 2018.

Washington State was looking for running back help after James Williams left a season early in favor of the NFL draft. Williams went undrafted.
