A pair of Washington quarterbacks have entered their names in the NCAA transfer portal.

Colson Yankoff and Jacob Sirmon, two highly ranked members of the Class of 2018, have decided to explore a transfer. They can withdraw their names and return to Washington if they desire.

Washington has not announced who will start at quarterback, but it is anticipated the job will go to Jacob Eason, a Georgia transfer.

Eason started for the Bulldogs in 2016 as a true freshman. But when he suffered a knee injury in the first game of the 2017 season, he was replaced by Jake Fromm, who never relinquished the starting spot and led Georgia to the College Football Playoff that year.

Eason, who grew up in suburban Seattle, transferred to Washington last year and sat out the season. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

His backup is expected to be Jake Haener, the No. 2 quarterback behind Jake Browning last season.

Both Yankoff and Sirmon redshirted in 2018. Northwest natives, both were four-star prospects and in the top 10 at the position in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports composite.
