GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Oregon State’s porous rush defense offers Washington offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan an opportunity to get the Huskies’ run game going in any number of ways. RB Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed, Washington’s primary 1-2 options, were injured in recent weeks. That resulted in Kamari Pleasant and Sean McGrew earning more carries.

Any combination of the four could see significant usage against Oregon State if all goes according to plan, keeping the Huskies’ rushing rotation fresh ahead of a showdown at Washington State.

DRAFT SLANT

–OT Trey Adams, considered a potential first-round draft pick before undergoing season-ending back surgery before Week 1, plans to return to Washington for a fifth season in 2019, he said last week.

ROSTER REPORT:

–QB Jake Browning enters Saturday’s game with 11,347 career passing yards. He needs 472 to pass Carson Palmer for fifth all-time in Pac-12 history. Browning also has 91 career passing touchdowns, five behind Jared Goff for No. 5 all-time in the conference’s history.

–RB Myles Gaskin needs 219 yards to pass Ken Simonton to move to fourth all-time in career rushing yards in Pac-12 history. Gaskin is also one touchdown shy of matching LenDale White for fourth-most rushing scores in conference history, and two shy of tying LaMichael James for third. Gaskin has 4,826 rushing yards and 51 touchdowns.
