Auburn wide receiver Eli Stove’s 2018 season is in doubt after he tore an ACL in spring practice, multiple media outlets reported.

While the injury occurred prior to the school’s spring break, 247Sports, citing a source, reported that Stove underwent surgery on March 13. Stove was working with the first-team offense during practice prior to his injury.

Stove appeared in all 14 games as a sophomore last season, recording 29 receptions for 265 yards. He also was a threat out of the backfield with 30 rushes for 315 yards and two touchdowns.

As a freshman, the 6-foot, 183-pound Stove had 23 catches for 224 yards and added 11 rushes for 131 yards and a score in nine games.
