Former Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham took to social media on Saturday to announce that he will transfer to Auburn.

Stidham started three games as a freshman for the Bears last year and threw for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns before breaking his ankle, ending his season. Stidham left the program as a transfer over the summer following the firing of Art Briles and sat out all of 2016.

Stidham, who will be eligible to play for the Tigers in 2017, will have three years of eligibility remaining and could be quite a boon for Gus Malzahn’s offense. Auburn lost starter Sean White to injury this season, leaving the club primarily with a ground-first attack.

Stidham reportedly considered Florida and Texas A&M, but elected to choose Auburn shortly after hosting Malzahn for an in-home visit on Friday.
