PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Terry Wilson was an efficient 10-of-14 passing for 121 yards with no interceptions in the win over Middle Tennessee State last week. He has completed at least 60 percent of his pass attempts in nine games.

–RB Benny Snell was back on his game with 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 26 carries against the Blue Raiders. With 3,629 rushing yards, he is within 206 yards of Sonny Collins’ school record of 3,835 yards and will have the regular-season finale against Louisville and a bowl game to go for the record.

–LB Josh Allen would be hard to miss on defense. He is coming off a 15-tackle game against Middle Tennessee that included a pair of sacks to set a school record of 27.5. His second sack ended a Blue Raiders’ drive that could have tied the game.

–S Mike Edwards was all over the field against the Blue Raiders. He was in on 12 tackles, giving him 75 for the season, with two for losses. That gives him 9.0 tackles for loss for the year with both numbers second to the 80/17.5 of Allen. Edwards also had a 66-yard interception return for a touchdown on Kentucky’s first defensive series, giving him a team-high three picks for the season.

SERIES HISTORY: The Kentucky-Louisville series is tied 15-15. Louisville won the last meeting 44-17 in 2017.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “He’s just been more efficient. The completion percentage is up because he’s decisive with where he’s going with the ball and when and making quicker decisions with that.” — Coach Mark Stoops, on QB Terry Wilson’s improved play.
