Kentucky’s dreams of a championship season were on the line. Missouri led the game, 14-9, with just 1:24 remaining in the fourth quarter and the end zone was 81 yards away.
But Wildcat quarterback Terry Wilson drove the team the length of the field, and when pass interference was called in the end zone on the last play of the game, Kentucky was awarded one more untimed down from the Missouri 2-yard line.
C.J. Conrad, a senior tight end from Lagrange, Ohio, took advantage of the opportunity. He caught a pass from Wilson just across the goal line in the front left corner of the end zone, providing the victory margin in the 15-14 win.
Conrad’s game-winning reception is this week’s U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”
For the game, Wilson completed 22 0f 31 passes for 267 yards. For Conrad, it was his first touchdown reception of the season.
Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
