Trouble found Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk again, and he could be out of chances with the Tigers.

Mauk was suspended indefinitely, his third ban in four months, after a video emerged purporting to show him snorting a line of cocaine. The video released Monday night shows a man resembling Mauk snorting a powdery substance.

Missouri officials released a statement and said they are still attempting to confirm elements of the video.

“We are currently gathering information regarding the video in question,” the statement read. “This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program. We will take the appropriate actions once we have all the facts. In the interim, Maty Mauk has been indefinitely suspended for the Mizzou football program.”

A Missouri player who asked not to be identified by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch claimed the video might be as much as two years old.

Wide receiver Keyon Dilosa defended Mauk via Twitter while decrying drug use.

“Maty learned his lesson and has been clean for awhile now,” Dilosa said. “… People want you to be the bad guy. It just so happened that someone had that video from years ago and could release it at any moment.”

The Post-Dispatch reported that it confirmed Mauk’s 2015 suspension was for a failed drug test. He was Missouri’s starting quarterback in 2014.
