Samuel had six touchdowns before suffering a broken leg in the third game of the season.

Samuel had been aiming for a late-season comeback but recently suffered a high ankle sprain during the recovery process.

“GAMECOCKS COUNTRY we got one more ride and it’s going to be one to remember,” Samuel posted on Twitter on Sunday night. “I love you all.”

Samuel is one of the top all-purpose threats in the country. He returned kickoffs for touchdowns in each of the first two games, caught 15 passes for 250 yards and three scores, and added another touchdown on a 25-yard run.

He is rated the No. 8 wide receiver in the 2019 draft class by NFLDraftScout.com.

Samuel caught 59 passes for 783 yards and one touchdown last season, when he rushed for six TDs on 15 carries, returned a kick for a score and threw a 33-yard touchdown pass.
