PLAYERS TO WATCH

–RB Ty Chandler is finishing the season strong with at least 80 yards in each of his last two games. The sophomore carried the ball 14 times against Missouri for 82 yards and his second and third touchdowns on the year. The effort moves him into the Vols’ lead with 551 yards on the year. His three rushing scores tie him with Tim Jordan, Madre London and Jeremy Banks for tops on the team.

–WR Marquez Callaway has been Jarrett Guarantano’s prime weapon the last two weeks, catching four passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. The junior has 141 punt return yards as well, with 98 of them and a touchdown coming three games ago versus Charlotte. A chest injury, however, could limit Callaway against Vanderbilt.

–DE Kyle Phillips tied Alontae Taylor and Nigel Warrior to lead the Vols with seven tackles against Missouri. The senior also picked up a sack, 1.5 tackles for loss and blocked a pass.

–SS Nigel Warrior is second on the team in tackles behind Daniel Bituli (70 tackles) with 56 stops on the year. The veteran has quietly had a strong junior campaign, despite a decline in numbers (83 tackles last year) as offenses look to avoid the third-year player with 161 career tackles.

SERIES HISTORY: Tennessee leads Vanderbilt 75-31-5 and has won 31 of the last 36 games. A win for Vandy will be the first time the Commodores have won three in a row over the Vols since winning seven straight contests between 1920 and 1926.

QUOTE TO NOTE “I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful for the opportunity that I have here at the University of Tennessee, the staff that’s here that works with us, our players, our administration, our fanbase. I told the kids Saturday during the Vol Walk, I wanted them to look around and see so they had an understanding of what the passion is for the program that we all represent and the obligation that we have to the people that came before us and the people that are going to come after us.” — Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt on what he’s thankful for.
