Tennessee All-American offensive lineman Trey Smith will miss at least some of spring practice due to a medical issue, GoVols247 reported on Saturday night, citing a source.

VolQuest.com later reported that Smith will miss all of spring practice but will return in time for the 2018 season.

Tennessee and Smith’s family have not commented on his health or condition.

Smith, 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, started all 12 games last year as a freshman and is considered the team’s best lineman.
