It had already been the longest game ever played by ranked teams in college football history.

In the seventh overtime, LSU had scored a touchdown, but the mandatory two-point conversion attempt had failed. Texas A&M matched the score and also threw an incomplete pass on its two-point attempt. But pass interference was called in the end zone, giving the Aggies one more try to end the marathon.

That’s when wide receiver Kendrick Rogers, who had been sidelined with severe leg cramps, answered the call.

Rogers’ 2-yard catch of a pass from quarterback Kellen Mond gave Texas A&M a 74-72 victory. The game-winning reception has been chosen at the “U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish Catch of the Week.”

For the game, Rogers caught three passes for 53 yards, including two for touchdowns. Mond completed 23 of 49 passes for 287 yards and six touchdowns and rushed for 42 yards and another score.

Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
