The NFL Regional combine invitational is set to happen on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 7:00 a.m. PT. in Kansas City. The regional combine is an invite-only event that features 100 or so college football players who were not invited to the primary scouting combine. The event has been moved up to early March to avoid conflicts with Pro Days that are set on college campuses. Players are tested and evaluated by experienced NFL scouting personnel. Measurements, combine results and videos are available to all NFL teams. The regional combine is not as noteworthy as the primary scouting combine, although NFL players Johnny Hekker and Adam Thielen were both discovered at the regional combine, so it does merit attention. – Seahawks Wire
