Tron Folsom – Noteworthy
Linebacker Tron Folsom, Troy’s leading tackler the last two seasons, has announced plans to enter his name in the NCAA’s transfer portal. Folsom, a rising fifth-year senior from Alma, Ga., is expected to graduate in May and would thus be immediately eligible to play in 2019 at his new school. He announced his decision via Twitter on Friday, and has already been removed from the Trojans’ 2019 spring roster. Folsom (6-foot-2, 209 pounds) totaled a team-best 79 tackles in 2018, along with eight tackles for loss, six quarterback hurries, two sacks and two interceptions, earning second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors. He also led the Trojans with 80 tackles in 2017, also picking up second-team all-conference recognition. – AL.com
