GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers started the game with no healthy offensive tackles. By early in the second quarter, they were down two of their three running backs.

On the opening series, Ty Montgomery carried five times for 28 yards before heading to the locker room. The team reported a chest injury; NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported broken ribs.

Fourth-round draft pick Jamaal Williams stepped into the game but limped off with 10:44 left in the second quarter. That left only fifth-round draft pick Aaron Jones, who hadn’t played a snap from scrimmage, as the last remaining running back.

With starting offensive tackles David Bakhtiari (hamstring) and Bryan Bulaga (ankle) inactive and backup tackles Jason Spriggs, Kyle Murphy and Don Barclay on injured reserve, the Packers started a makeshift offensive line that didn’t include any career tackles.

Left guard Lane Taylor started at left tackle with Lucas Patrick stepping in at left guard. Justin McCray, who competed at guard and center during training camp, started at right tackle. The only starters in their usual spots were center Corey Linsley and right guard Jahri Evans.

Green Bay led 14-0 after the first quarter. There was a 46-minute delay between quarters due to lightning.
