The Oakland Raiders officially listed quarterback Derek Carr as questionable on Friday, which suggests there is an outside chance he will play in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

It was assumed earlier in the week that Carr would miss at least the next two games. On Monday, coach Jack Del Rio said Carr had a transverse process fracture in his back and would be sidelined two to six weeks.

“At this point it is looking very good chance for him to be back next week,” NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport said. “Described to me as a chance to play this week. I know he wants to play very badly.”

Carr participated in practice on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday.

EJ Manuel is still considered the likely starter at quarterback for the Raiders this week, but the team has not completely closed the door on the possibility that Carr might play.

Left tackle Donald Penn said on Thursday that Carr is “very ahead of schedule.”

Del Rio was asked Friday during a conference call whether Carr was indeed ahead of schedule, and Del Rio said, “I think Donald did that for us yesterday.”

The Raiders also list running back DeAndre Washington (hamstring) and cornerbacks David Amerson (concussion) and Gareon Conley (shin) as questionable.
