Quarterback Sam Bradford was back on the practice field for a light workout with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, but offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur downplayed the significance of his attendance at the team walkthrough.

Bradford threw passes on the side and is optimistic he can play Thursday at Detroit just 10 days after he separated his left shoulder and suffered a concussion in Week 10.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know,” Shurmur said before Tuesday’s practice about Bradford’s availability against the Lions. “We’re going to go out and walk today. Tomorrow we’re going to run. We’ll know more then. I’m trying to be honest and transparent. But I can’t tell you what’s going to happen right now because I don’t know who’s going to be healthy.”

Mark Sanchez started last week in a blowout loss at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is 4-5 as a starter with the Eagles.
Philadelphia has lost two in a row and three of its past four games, averaging less than 19 points in the three defeats.

Shurmur said Bradford is officially cleared medically.

However, running back Ryan Mathews remains in concussion protocol. He did not play against the Buccaneers.
