Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has plenty of confidence in his abilities heading into the upcoming NFL season – and he wants his fantasy football owners to feel just as positive.
Gurley didn’t miss a beat when asked by the NFL Network where he should be drafted in fantasy circles.
“No. 1 overall for sure,” the 21-year-old said. “You maybe could choose (Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver) Antonio Brown over me, but no one else. Maybe Cam (Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton). That’s it.”
The 10th overall pick of the 2015 draft, Gurley overcame an early three-game absence to rush 229 times for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns during his rookie season.
Gurley also reeled in 21 receptions for 188 yards.
