Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is unlikely to play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday, citing sources.

Reed sustained a Grade 3 AC joint separation in the second quarter of last Thursday’s 31-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys after leaping for a ball in the end zone.

The 26-year-old Reed returned after halftime and finished his dominating performance with a game-high 10 receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

Reed has reeled in a team-high 59 catches to go along with 630 yards and five scores in nine games this season.

Veteran tight end Vernon Davis would likely see his role expand should Reed sit out. Davis has recorded 31 catches for 450 yards and two scores this season for the Redskins (6-4-1).
