The Arizona Diamondbacks have reportedly reached an agreement with free-agent relief pitcher Greg Holland.

The deal was first reported by MLB Network’s Ken Rosenthal and The Athletic’s Robert Murray and is pending a physical.

Holland played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals in 2018. He went 2-2 with 47 strikeouts, three saves and a 4.66 ERA in 46.1 innings pitched last season. He appeared in 56 games.

Holland was arguably the best closer in baseball while closing games for Kansas City from 2013-15. He recorded 125 saves over that timeframe.
