The Atlanta Braves and catcher Kurt Suzuki agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million contract, multiple media outlets reported Sunday.

Suzuki must still pass a physical before the deal becomes official.

Suzuki reportedly can earn an additional $2.5 million in incentives.

The 33-year-old has a .256 career average with 83 homers and 519 RBIs in 10 major league seasons with the Oakland Athletics, Washington Nationals and Minnesota Twins. Suzuki was a 2014 American League All-Star for the Twins.

He batted .258 with eight homers and 49 RBIs last season in his third and final year with Minnesota.

Suzuki will compete with Tyler Flowers and Anthony Recker for playing time.
