The Detroit Tigers acquired outfielder Cameron Maybin from the Atlanta Braves in a trade that sent two left-handed pitchers, Ian Krol and Gabe Speier, to Atlanta, the Braves announced Friday.

Maybin is coming off what may have been his best year in the majors. He hit .267 with 10 home runs and 23 steals while playing in 141 games.

He is scheduled to make $7 million in 2016 with a club option for $9 million in 2017.

Kroll pitched in 33 games out of the bullpen in 2015 for Detroit, and had a 2-3 record with a 5.79 ERA.

The 20-year-old Speier has never pitched above High-A ball.
