MIAMI — Yuli Gurriel hit his first career grand slam, leading the Houston Astros to a 7-2 win over the Miami Marlins on Monday night at Marlins Park.

With Houston trailing 1-0 in the sixth, Gurriel hit his two-out blast to left-center on a 2-1 pitch from reliever Junichi Tazawa (1-1). Houston had loaded the bases against Tazawa with a Josh Reddick double, a Carlos Correa walk and an Evan Gattis hit-by-pitch.

The Astros, who have the best record in baseball at 27-12, sent the Marlins to their 15th loss in the past 19 games.

Joe Musgrove (3-3) earned his second consecutive win, allowing eight hits and one walk but just one run in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out five.

Indians 8, Rays 7

CLEVELAND — Lonnie Chisenhall and Francisco Lindor hit home runs, leading Cleveland to a win over Tampa Bay.

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco was removed from the game in the fourth inning with left pectoral tightness. Five Cleveland relievers combined to pitch the last 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and five hits with six strikeouts.

Cleveland left-hander Andrew Miller yielded a run for the first time this year, snapping his streak of 15 shutout appearances and 17 1/3 scoreless innings to start the season. Logan Morrison’s eighth-inning sacrifice fly off Miller cut the Indians’ lead to 7-6.

Braves 10, Blue Jays 6

TORONTO — Freddie Freeman hit a three-run homer, Nick Markakis had three RBIs, and Bartolo Colon won for the first time since April 16 as Atlanta defeated Toronto.

Matt Kemp had four hits and a walk and scored three runs for the Braves. Colon allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings.

Toronto’s Justin Smoak hit his eighth homer of the season, a two-run shot off Josh Collmenter with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
