LOS ANGELES — Corey Seager had three hits, Cody Bellinger two RBIs and Rich Hill won his fourth straight decision as the Los Angeles Dodgers continued their winning ways with a 2-1 decision over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday.

The Dodgers’ seventh straight victory improved them to 38-6 since June 7 and 25-3 in their last 28 home games.

Hill (8-4) allowed one run on two hits in 5 2/3 innings, retiring the first 11 Giants he faced. In his last 43 innings, Hill has a 1.67 ERA with 52 strikeouts. He has won four of his last five starts after opening the season 1-3.

Hunter Pence hit a fourth-inning home run, his seventh, for the only run against Hill.

Yankees 5, Rays 4

NEW YORK — Brett Gardner hit a bases-loaded single with nobody out in the bottom of the ninth inning and New York matched a season high with its sixth straight victory.

Gardner lined a 1-0 pitch up the middle from Dan Jennings, giving the Yankees their ninth win in 11 games after loading the bases on a walk, a hit batsman and a bunt single. The hit touched off a wild celebration at first base and Gardner was doused during his on-field interview by Aaron Judge, who chipped a tooth celebrating Gardner’s 11th-inning homer Thursday.

Before Gardner won it, Chase Headley slugged a pinch-hit, two-run homer with one out in the sixth off Sergio Romo to give New York a 4-3 lead. The lead lasted until the eighth when Lucas Duda opened the inning by hitting a 2-0 curveball from David Robertson into the second deck in right field for his second home run in as many games in a Rays uniform.

Rockies 4, Nationals 2

WASHINGTON — Rookie German Marquez pitched seven strong innings and Trevor Story homered as Colorado defeated Washington.

Marquez (9-4) allowed two runs and three hits and struck out a career-high 10 without issuing a walk. He became the third rookie this season to win nine games, one behind teammates Kyle Freeland and Antonio Senzatela, as he won his fourth straight start.

Pat Neshek pitched a perfect eighth in his Rockies debut and Greg Holland worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his major league-leading 32nd save. Bryce Harper had his 19-game hitting streak come to an end for the Nationals.

Diamondbacks 7, Cardinals 1

ST. LOUIS — Zack Greinke fanned nine in seven innings and Arizona clouted three homers to defeat St. Louis.

Greinke (13-4) gave up four hits and a run, walking one. Greinke, who improved to 12-4 lifetime against the Cardinals, permitted only one hit after giving up his lone run in the first inning.

Paul Goldschmidt, J.D. Martinez and Ketel Marte each went deep for the Diamondbacks. It was Martinez’s fifth homer since being acquired from Detroit on July 18 and his 21st homer overall.

Mariners 3, Mets 2

SEATTLE — Yovani Gallardo allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings as Seattle defeated Jacob deGrom and New York.

Gallardo (5-7) earned his first victory as a starter since June 12. He gave up five hits, walked two and struck out two. The veteran right-hander was sent to the bullpen following a June 17 loss in Texas and didn’t return to the rotation until last weekend against the New York Yankees.

DeGrom (12-4), who had won eight straight starts, allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits in six innings. He struck out 10 and walked one. It was deGrom’s eighth game with double-digit strikeouts in 21 starts this year.

Tigers 5, Astros 3

DETROIT — Ian Kinsler’s bloop single to right-center field with two outs scored Jose Iglesias to finish a three-run seventh inning that helped Detroit snap a four-game losing streak.

Chris Devenski’s first pitch in relief of Francis Martes (3-1) resulted in Kinsler’s bloop RBI single, putting the Tigers on top 4-3 for the first time in the game.

Detroit’s Matthew Boyd (5-5) gave up a two-run homer in the first inning but only one other run in 7 1/3 innings. He didn’t walk a batter, struck out five and allowed eight hits.

Marlins 7, Reds 3

MIAMI — Christian Yelich slugged a three-run homer to lead Miami to its fourth straight victory.

Adam Conley (4-3) earned the win, allowing five hits, two walks and two runs in a season-high 7 2/3 innings. He is 3-0 in three career starts against the Reds, who have lost six straight games and are 2-14 since the All-Star break.

Tim Adleman (5-9) gave up six runs, six hits and four walks in 4 1/3 innings. He has allowed at least one homer in 12 straight games.

Angels 6, Blue Jays 5

TORONTO — A sacrifice fly by Cliff Pennington capped a three-run rally in the ninth inning as Los Angeles came back to defeat Toronto.

The runs came against Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna (3-1), who came in to protect a 5-3 lead provided by a two-run homer from Miguel Montero in the sixth inning.

Troy Scribner (1-0) allowed three hits and two runs in three innings to earn the win in his major league debut.
