DETROIT — Jose Iglesias hit a three-run triple in the seventh inning as Detroit outlasted New York for a 10-6 victory in a game that included eight ejections and three benches-clearing incidents on Thursday.

Detroit cleanup hitter and 11-time All-Star Miguel Cabrera and New York catcher Austin Romine were tossed after a benches-clearing brawl in the sixth. Yankees manager Joe Girardi and reliever Tommy Kahnle had just been ejected after Kahnle threw a pitch behind Cabrera.

New York reliever Dellin Betances was kicked out along with bench coach Robby Thomson in the bottom of the seventh inning after Betances drilled Tigers catcher James McCann in the helmet.

Detroit reliever Alex Wilson was ejected after hitting New York third baseman Todd Frazier in the eighth. Tigers manager Brad Ausmus was also ejected.

Before the chaos, Justin Upton hit his 27th homer for Detroit and Gary Sanchez homered in the fourth.

Diamondbacks 3, Mets 2

NEW YORK — Robbie Ray pitched five strong innings in his return from the disabled list as Arizona beat New York.

Ray (10-5), who suffered a concussion when he was hit in the head by a 108 mph line drive in his previous start July 28, allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out nine. He struck out the side on 12 pitches in the first and didn’t allow a hit until Yoenis Cespedes homered leading off the fourth.

The Mets (55-71) went 2-6 on an eight-game homestand and lost yet another key player to injury Thursday, when All-Star outfielder Michael Conforto suffered a dislocated left shoulder while swinging and missing in the fifth inning. The Mets have placed 22 players on the disabled list this season.

Rockies 3, Royals 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Pat Valaika hit a two-out two-run homer in the eighth inning as Colorado came back to beat Kansas City.

Greg Holland, who allowed a three-run walk-off homer to former teammate Eric Hosmer, logged his 36th save.

Whit Merrifield and Brandon Moss homered for Kansas City.

Marlins 9, Phillies 8

PHILADELPHIA — Giancarlo Stanton hit his major league-leading 47th homer as Miami rallied to beat Philadelphia.

Stanton hit his latest homer before Miami rallied from a five-run deficit. A.J. Ellis and Christian Yelich homered before J.T. Realmuto hit a game-tying inside-the-park homer and the tiebreaking sacrifice fly.

Rookie Rhys Hopkins homered and drove in three runs for the Phillies, who dropped three of four to the Marlins.

Rays 2, Blue Jays 0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Corey Dickerson hit a late solo homer and, Kevin Kiermaier made two impressive defensive plays as Tampa Bay blanked Toronto.

Dickerson scored on Daniel Robertson’s sacrifice fly and homered in the eighth as Tampa Bay won for the third time in four games. Kiermaier robbed Steve Pearce and Josh Donaldson in the fifth.

Alex Cobb labored through 4 1/3 innings for Tampa Bay while Tom Koehler also failed to pitch past the fifth.
