Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Alex Wood could land on the disabled list with shoulder inflammation.

Wood started Monday for the Dodgers at Pittsburgh and allowed three home runs in six innings pitched but did not factor in the decision. Los Angeles edged Pittsburgh 6-5 in 12 innings.

Manager Dave Roberts said the left shoulder injury is a recurrence of the same malady that sent Wood to the 10-day disabled list in May: inflammation in the sternoclavicular joint on the front side of his pitching shoulder.

“It’s a little concerning considering his history,” Roberts said. “We have got to be cautious.”

Wood is 14-1 with a 2.41 ERA for the MLB-leading Dodgers this season. Los Angeles is without ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw (back) and newly acquired right-hander Yu Darvish (back). Kershaw last pitched July 23 and is scheduled for a rehab start at Oklahoma City on Saturday.

The Dodgers announced Darvish will not pitch this week.
