Minnesota continued to bolster its pitching staff by signing former St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Lance Lynn to a one-year, $12 million deal. Lynn was officially introduced on Tuesday before he was slated to pitch against Baltimore in his first official spring training action.

Lynn, 30, is entering his seventh year in the Major Leagues. Last year, he went 11-8 with 153 strikeouts and a 3.43 ERA in 186.1 innings pitched. It marked the fourth consecutive season that Lynn started at least 31 games.

For his career, Lynn is 72-47 with 919 strikeouts and a 3.38 ERA in 977.2 innings pitched. He has earned double-digit wins in five straight seasons and has surpassed 200 innings pitched twice over that span.

Lynn was a member of the Cardinals 2011 World Series winning team. He was an All-Star in 2012.
