Free agent outfielder Alejandro De Aza agreed to a contract with the New York Mets on Tuesday.
De Aza will receive $4.5 million on the one-year pact pending a physical with the team.
The 31-year-old is likely to come off the bench or share time with Juan Lagares.
A career .267 hitter, De Aza spent time last season with the Orioles, Red Sox and Giants.
