CHICAGO — Yankees second baseman Starlin Castro left New York’s game against the Chicago White Sox on Monday because of a strained right hamstring.

Castro pulled up lame while running out a ground ball in the second inning. He was replaced in the field by Rob Refsnyder in the bottom of the second.

Castro, 27, is hitting .313 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs in 73 games. He didn’t play Sunday after getting a cortisone shot in his right wrist a day earlier.
