The St. Louis Cardinals retained the services of right-handed reliever Jonathan Broxton with a two-year contract, the club announced on Thursday.

Financial teams of the deal weren’t released.

Broxton, 31, was acquired by the Cardinals from the Milwaukee Brewers in August. He went 3-3 with a 2.66 ERA in 26 games with St. Louis.

The two-time All-Star has also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers (2005-11), Kansas City Royals (2012), St. Louis Cardinals (2012-14) and Brewers (2014-15).

Broxton is 39-35 with a 3.23 ERA and 118 saves in his career.
