Yu Darvish’s days with the Texas Rangers may very well be numbered.

On Monday, Rangers general manager Jon Daniels began making phone calls to alert teams that he is willing to trade the four-time All-Star and former American League strikeout leader for the “right deal,” ESPN reports.

If Daniels is unable to find a deal he likes, he will hold onto Darvish and the Rangers will continue to pursue an AL wild-card spot, per ESPN.

Darvish, 30, is 6-8 with a 3.44 ERA and 143 strikeouts — fourth in the AL — through 21 starts this year. He is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Miami Marlins, his final outing before Monday’s 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs are among the major league clubs who have sent scouts to watch Darvish’s recent outings, according to ESPN.

Darvish is eligible to become a free agent this November.

Texas (48-51) is fourth in the AL West standings, 18 games behind the division-leading Astros. However, the Rangers are just 3 1/2 games back of the Kansas City Royals for the league’s second wild-card spot.
